I have had the privilege of being the RCCA president for the last two
years and am willing to serve another term. I know the pain at the pump
has cut into the attendance of some meets. I think it is important to
continue the meets even if lower attendance requires the cost/number of
the awards be reduced. I have been fortunate in that I've still traveled
as before but found myself ride-sharing more often.

As president I have tried to keep my opinions private and let the
membership and board drive the organization. I haven't pushed my ideas on
others. I will fly whatever anyone else wants to fly. The provisional
class SSC developed by members of the RCCA is going to be an official AMA
event in January. In two years I would like the rest of our provisional
events to be integrated into the AMA rules so there would be a single
scale class with fast and slow forms. A single Open B class with fast and
slow forms. A introductory class called SSC. I will not write such rules
but rely on those of you that feel it is needed to do so. Gnant combat is
very fun as are 1/2A combat and 3696. I have flown all of them but find
they are not yet being flown across the country. I believe the 3696 class
has promise as more people enter RC flying only electrics.
